We’re proud to announce that Team ZIC, proudly sponsored by DroneImageWA, has taken first place in the 2025 Outback Air Race—a 6,400km precision time trial across some of Australia’s most remote and challenging terrain.
Pilots Scott Palmer and Adam Dean flew the full route from Darwin to Coffs Harbour, competing against 40 other aircraft in a test of navigation accuracy and endurance. The race isn’t about speed—it’s about hitting precise checkpoints on time, over vast stretches of outback and coastline.
Beyond the challenge and the win, the race had a bigger purpose. Together, all teams raised over $1 million for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, helping fund critical healthcare for people living in remote Australia.
We’re incredibly proud to have supported a team that not only took top honours, but did so in the name of a cause that truly matters.
